Abacuse Book Sellers Pvt. Ltd. is a multi-location book trade business operating across 8 sites. The business needed a single integrated ERP to replace disconnected tools that could not handle the volume of daily transactions — over 9,000 entries per hour at peak — while also managing the unique workflows of the book trade: school accounts, book fairs, publisher PO/PI cycles and title-level inventory.
WASS designed and built a full-stack Book Trade ERP covering every operational layer: day-to-day accounting with automated journal entries, in-store billing with barcode support, client and order management with zone-wise segmentation, and a multi-company master configuration for different group entities. The vendor and client ledger module handles publisher accounts, school accounts and retail customers in a unified view with ageing reports.
The book inventory module manages stock at title level — ISBN, author, publisher, edition, subject category — with purchase order (PO) and purchase invoice (PI) workflows that reconcile received stock against orders automatically. The system operates in both online and offline modes, syncing data when connectivity is restored, which is critical for locations with intermittent internet access.
The school book management module handles school-wise title lists, bulk order processing, delivery scheduling and school account billing. The book fair management module tracks fair-wise stock allocation, daily sales, returns and final settlement — giving the management team a real-time view of fair performance across all locations. The entire system is hosted on Google Cloud with encrypted storage, automated daily backups and role-based access control across all 8 locations.
